Barako Bull takes on winless Ginebra; Rain or Shine faces Air 21

Barako Bull eyes the solo second spot when it takes on slumping Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the main game of the 2013 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
The Energy Colas collide with the Kings at 7:30 p.m. with the former trying to break away from a tie with Petron Blaze at second spot with a 3-1 mark.
In the opener, Rain or Shine seeks its third win against Air21 at 5:15 p.m.
Barako Bull pulled off a miracle in its last game against the Express, 91-86, for its third win in four games.
The Energy Colas are facing the winless Kings, the only team in the tournament that have yet to register a W in their standing.
“Ginebra is dangerous to play right now,” said Barako Bull coach Bong Ramos. “They can win anytime. It will be a tough game for us.”
The Gin Kings are currently at the cellar with a 0-4 mark and are coming off an 84-69 loss to Alaska last Saturday in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
The defeat spoiled the debut of Vernon Macklin, who registered 16 points and 20 rebounds in his first PBA game. Mackling replaced the ineffective Herbert Hill.
In the opener, the Elasto Painters are eyeing their third win in four games against Air 21, which is coming off a heartbreaking defeat to Barako Bull.
“We just have to regroup and bounce back together,” said Express coach Franz Pumaren, whose team is carrying a 1-2 win-loss slate.
Rain or Shine defeated San Mig Coffee, 93-65, in its previous match to improve its standing to 2-1.
