PBA: Ellis slated to defend dunk contest crown, as PBA unveils participants of All-Star festivities

Ginebra's Chris Ellis is expected to headline the festivities as he defends his Dunk Contest crown at the 2014 All-Star Weekend, taking place on April 3-6 at the Mall of Asia Arena,
The league unveiled the list of participants of the Dunk Contest, Three-Point Shootout and Skills Competition for this year via Twitter. The PBA will also carry over the Greats vs Stalwarts exhibition game format, mixing some of the league's past legends with current talent.

Ellis will take on the other high fliers of the league, with a field led by veteran dunker Arwind Santos (San Miguel Beer), plus names like Justin Melton (San Mig Coffee), Japeth Aguilar (Ginebra), Rey Guevarra (Meralco), Cliff Hodge (Meralco) and Calvin Abueva (Alaska).

Meanwhile, Jonas Villanueva (Barako Bull) will defend his Obstacle Challenge championship for the fourth time since winning the title in 2010. JVee Casio (Alaska), who will appear in the competition for the third straight year, bannering Villanueva's challengers, which include LA Tenorio (Ginebra), Paul Lee (Rain or Shine), Willie Miller (Barako Bull). John Wilson (Meralco), Terrence Romeo (GlobalPort), Sol Mercado (San Miguel Beer), Mark Barroca (San Mig Coffee), and Jayson Castro (Talk N' Text) will also make their debuts in the competition.
In the Three-Point Shootout, former three-time three-point king Mark Macapagal (GlobalPort) will try to retake the crown from Chris Tiu (Rain or Shine). The rest of the pool include Larry Fonacier (Talk N' Text), Mac Baracael (Ginebra), Casio, Ronjay Buenafe (Barako Bull), Gary David (Meralco), Marco Lassiter (San Miguel Beer) and James Yap (San Mig Coffee).
The Greats, captained by playing coach Atoy Co, includes Freddie Abuda, Vergel Meneses, Franz Pumaren, Johnadel Cardel, Guevarra, Romeo, Casio, Miller, Hodge and Villanueva. Meanwhile the Stalwarts are comprised of playing coach Bogs Adornado together with Dickie Bachman, Jeffrey Cariaso, Richard Del Rosario, Melton, Buenafe, Tiu, Mercado, Cardona, and Wilson.
