An Open Letter from a Certain Die Hard Kabarangay
Dear Barangay Ginebra San Miguel,
Our backs are against the wall once again. The team is being beaten, toyed and humiliated no just once but twice in front of our very own eyes. The team is facing a three do or die games now. A lot of kabarangays now accepted defeat so that they can hear no more humiliation from aces fans. A lot of us are saying that were no match against the beast of the aces. Tenorio is out smarted by aces guards, jayjay heroics is nonesense. Kerby is running out of gas. Macklin is just a one sided import. Mac Baracael deserved to be traded away by alaska. Rudy is just a plain old horse. Ellis is just a monkey hanging in the ring. Josh is a failed gamble and much worse, MC47 is not a son of the god who can bring miracle to the team.
We are now on the brink of a sweep. The series is nearing its end for alaska. Are we now just say, “were done”?. For me……….In BEHALF of the undying legions of fans of the team. We are not giving up. We will fight to the last minute. We will stand with the team up to the bitter end. We are fans that you don’t need to pay to cheer the team in the court. We are fans that you don’t need to ask to support them by bringing drums or trumpet. We are fans that you don’t need to provide transport just to support the team.
We are GINEBRA fans. We are the proud fan base in the PBA. Our team plays not for stardom, popularity or trophy. Our team plays with their hearts. Our team plays for us. Our team plays for the sake of the fans. Whether injured or in sickbay. Whether underdogs or outmanned. Whether weak lineup or shattered personnel. Ginebra team will just stay alive not just this series. But to next generations. Teams gone and change names but Ginebra will stay to our hearts.
It’s been half a decade since last championship. It’s a half a decade of misery, agony and tears each and every time we lose to anyone. We the Ginebra fans believe that someday, someone from the team will make a stand. Someone from the team will say “ ENOUGH”. We don’t care other fans excuses every time we won. Its Ginebra who wins. It’s the fans who wins. We don’t need drums; just our plain voice will suffice for them to wake up. We don’t need transport; just our plain feet will do just to tell them that we are here willing to stay. We don’t need payments for support; our love for the team is GENUINE.
Whatever happens in game 3 will remain as plain results for us. Whether we win or we lose its just a ordinary game. At the end of the day we are still fans of the team. Fans with undying support. Fans with undying love for them. We don’t need trophies if our team will be shattered. We don’t need championships if our players will have a career ending injuries. We want to win but not to the expense of anyone from us whether players or fans.
We believe in you guys. We know that there will be a day that the glory will be return to us. Believe in yourselves. Stay focus on the game at hand. As long as the final buzzer is not yet given, the war is not yet over. Go back to your old selves. Prove to them that your miraculous run is not a fluke. Prove to them the real meaning of “PEOPLES CHAMPIONS”.
Always remember that we are here watching and praying for all of you. We will stay whatever happens. If we need to wait another decade then we will wait. We know that the Ginebra resurgence is near. Its up to you guys when will be that day.
With love and hope,
Your Legions of Fans

Right, nothing to be ashamed of, getting to the finals is a feat in itself and getting the Runner Up trophy is something to be proud of, heads up. PEOPLES CHAMPS? Sounds good to me!!!!
