GINEBRA’S FOCUS AND MENTALITY WILL BE STRONGER, SAYS CHRIS ELLIS

MANILA – As the All-Star festivities in Digos, Davao del Sur last weekend finally gets put aside, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s Chris Ellis is now focused in the resumption of the semifinals battle between his team and the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.

It was a busy weekend for the athletic forward as he competed and won the Slam Dunk contest, while also participating in the exhibition game that saw the PBA All-Stars and the Gilas-Pilipinas pool settling to a 124-124 draw.

Today, Game Three of the Ginebra-Talk ‘N Text semis will be played at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

“We’ll be concentrated,” shared Ellis in his exclusive interview with Solar Sports Desk. “We’re coming off a loss but fortunately it’s a long series. It’s back-to-zero, it’s 1-1.”

After his team suffered a 79-85 defeat to the Tropang Texters in Game Two, Ellis and the entire Ginebra team will be looking forward to bounce back with a win.

“Hopefully, our guys will be healthy. Billy Mamaril will be back, Rudy Hatfield might be back and Mark Caguioa could be back possibly,” he expressed.

“With that inspiring our players, I think our focus and mentality will be stronger coming into the game,” Ellis added.

Ginebra will be facing a Talk ‘N Text squad, which will be parading a new import in reigning NBA D-League Rookie of the Year Tony Mitchell.
