Rookie Fil-Ams Chris Ellis, Keith Jensen promise excitement, heart for Ginebra

Filipino-American rookies Chris Ellis and Keith Jensen were drafted by the PBA’s most popular team on Sunday, and they couldn’t be more excited.

“It feels like a fairy tale,” said Ellis, who was drafted sixth overall by Ginebra. “It’s everything I want right here. I hope I can bring this team more pride.”

It was a sentiment echoed by Jensen, the No. 8 selection.

“Extremely excited because there’s a lot of history in this program,” he said.

When asked by fans during InterAKTV’s live chat what he sees would be his role for the team, Ellis said that he sees himself as a “catalyst, someone to bring them energy and competitiveness.”

Jensen, for his part, said he’s ready to run and gun along with the rest of Ginebra’s players

“(I will) get up and down a lot. I’m aggressive,” said Jensen.

Ellis and Jensen both promised that they won’t make fans rue their selection by management.

“I’ll work every ounce of my body to bring championship to this team,” said Ellis.

“I’ll play with a lot of heart,” said Jensen.

Sana wag ng itrade yung dalawang rookie na nakuha natin.. para tayong nakakuha ng Lutz and Lassiter sa 2 rookie na to plus a high flyer and shooting treys... I don't know lang what will they do to other rookies na nakuha nila...

i think un 4 guards na kinuha nila eh ipapa try out muna nila. tapos isa or dalwa ang kukunin nila pero kng dalawa baka mawala or ilgay sa free agent si rob labagala... pero ang concern ko pa rin tlaga this off season eh un sila ellis at jensen... ayoko mawala tong dalawa to at mapunta lang sa petron or bmeg

kung ganon mukhang magaling sila Jensen at Ellis base sa opinyon nyo...

i agree! idevelop nalang yang dalawang yan, malay naten isa sa kanila ang maging FACE ng GINEBRA pag nagretire na si MC (pero tagal pa nun..hehe)

Angas at6 atapang! mukhang meron itong dalawang ito. yan ang dapat talaga sa Ginebra yung handang magpakita ng gilas sa crowd at hindi mahihiya. Tulad ni Caguioa dati hindi talaga siya nahihiyang tumira o sumalaksak. PLAYING TIME lang talaga ang ikinakakaba ko dito, knowing our coaching staff...
