WHAT THIS GAME MEANS:

For the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, this game is about recovering from that early Ginebra barrage back in Game 1. After getting pummeled with huge haymakers from the start, TNT never seemed to have removed itself from its groggy state. Ironically, the multi-titled team showed very low adversity quotient. Now, in Game 2, it’s time for them to start fresh and make sure that they come out swinging early. Even though they’ve showed great ability to recover from 3 games to 1 series deficits in the past, going down 0-2 against BGSM is a different animal;their opponents have everything on their side by that time. This game almost has a ‘must-win’ tag to it.

For the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, this game is about keeping your opponents down with vicious grounding and pounding while they’re on the ground. You never want to let a giant back on its feet. If they think they already have a huge advantage going into this game, they’re wrong. They’re not playing a hodgepodge PBA team. This game could be that season-defining game for them.



WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR:

Energy. Energy. Energy.

That was the story of Game 1. TNT was just out energized. Yes, BGSM made a lot of shots that they don’t usually make but they came out of great execution. The Tropang Texters need to play with so much more energy and focus on defense.



WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR:

Jerome Jordan.

After his monster debut against this same team in the eliminations, Jerome Jordan has looked like a very poor man’s Javale McGee. He just has to come out with so much more energy. They don’t him to score 25 points. He just has to provide a big presence down low. TNT can beat BGSM with a so-so import, not with a poor one.
