Two teams that overcame higher-ranked opposition, the sixth-seeded Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters, and the seventh overall squad Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, now face off against each other, in a best-of-five semifinals series, for the right to play for the championship of the 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

THese two squads shook off slow starts to make it to the semifinal round, finding their form, and their import, later than other teams. Appropriately enough, they also split their two elimination round meetings.
