CAGUIOA THANKS GINEBRA FAITHFUL FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT

MANILA - With 16,617 cheering fans in attendance it surely had the atmosphere of a finals game.

"Felt like a championship game today," said Mark Caguioa in his tweet that ended with a NSD (never say die) hashtag.

Barangay Ginebra's heart and soul proved to be instrumental once again in their 96-88 win against the San Mig Coffee Mixers Friday night at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

"We were 1-5 coming into the game, there's no where to go but up," shared Caguioa after the game in an interview with Solar Sports Desk.

He finished with a game-high 25 points that included two critical three-pointers that helped seal the second win of Ginebra in the conference.

"Importante yung mga games na ganito. Maganda yung nangyari kasi it was a big crowd and the win is definitely a big boost to us," said Caguioa, who also added seven rebounds, five assists and a steal in the win.

He praised the defensive effort of the entire team, saying: "Maganda yung pinakita naming depensa especially on their import though he scored 25 points."

Caguioa clearly knows the explosiveness and offensive prowess of Denzel Bowles - the reigning Best Import of the Commissioner's Cup.

"Maski 2-5 kami, I would like to thank the fans for always supporting us. That really means a lot to us," Caguioa said, while addressing his message of appreciation to their legion of die-hards who continue to support the team.

Ginebra will try to get their first back-to-back wins of the season when they face the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters next Sunday.
