PBA board representative Robert Non insists Agustin 'will still coach Ginebra'
Ginebra board representative Robert Non, pictured left with team manager Al Chua, says there is no plan to replace Ato Agustin as the Kings' head coach. Snow Badua
BARANGAY Ginebra management quickly diffused widespread rumors that Ato Agustin has resigned as head coach of the Kings in light of the team’s disheartening Game Seven loss to San Mig Coffee in their PLDT myDSL-PBA Philippine Cup semifinal playoff.
“Ato will still coach Ginebra,” said team board representative Robert Non just moments before Game Two of the Finals series between Rain or Shine and San Mig on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Non’s curt statement came after reports spread on social media alleging that Agustin has submitted his resignation to team management just days after the Kings’ 110-87 loss to the Mixers in their do-or-die encounter for the last berth in the best-of-seven title series.
The Ginebra official said replacing Agustin has not been talked about even after the team’s failure to advance to the Finals, adding as far as he knows the former league MVP turned coach is currently in his farm in Pampanga taking a well-deserved rest.
Non even said matters on the Kings’ import Leon Rodgers was the last time he talked to Agustin shortly after the team’s semifinals series.

sana totoo nlang na aalis na sya bilang coach..
sa totoo lang hindi sya magaling mag coach panget sistema nya. laging pick en roll at post up. tapos wlang play sa mlalaki dun tayo nagdodominate sa malaki pro wlang play. kulang pa sa adjustment pag may presure sa back court.. hayss
naalala ko pa sabi nya pag tapos nila talunin ung san mig nung game 6 sabi nya alam nya na raw ano gagawin nya. epresure daw nila ung san mig pro wala akong nakitang depensang ganun nung game 7. kung alam mo tlga gagawin bakit hindi mo nagawa un ng game 7..
hindi man lang ma percfect ang ginebra may magandang line up lalglag nman sa coach.. may mayos na coach puro injury nman ang player pag dating ng finals..
