PBA Trade: Barangay Ginebra's Kerby Raymundo dealt to Meralco for Jay-R Reyes

MANILA -- After weeks of negotiations the trade between Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Meralco Bolts has been finally approved by both parties.

Solar Sports Desk first reported the rumored swap between the two teams last October 15.

Sources told Solar Sports Desk that the ten-time PBA All-Star has been granted of his wish to be reunited with former coach Ryan Gregorio at the Bolts’ side.

Raymundo was part of the 2009-2010 Purefoods team that won the PBA Philippine Cup under Gregorio's tutelage.

In turn, Ginebra will get a reliable big man underneath in Jay-R Reyes, who can play legitimate center and will complement the post patrolled by Japeth Aguilar and Rico Maierhofer along with their top pick in this year's draft which will either be Ian Sangalang or Greg Slaughter.

The trade proposal is said to be on its way to the PBA office for approval.
