Mark Caguioa apologizes to fans for limited appearance in All-Star match

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel superstar Mark Caguioa has missed majority of his team’s games in the Commissioner’s Cup because of a knee injury.

Despite this, however, the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player still appeared in the PBA All-Star Game Sunday after being voted in as a starter by fans.

He played limited minutes in the game, making just one shot — a three-pointer early in the second half.

Still, Caguioa took time to apologize to fans for his short appearance.

“I’d like to say sorry for the fans, alam ko na gustong-gusto niyo pa kami makitang maglaro ng matagal but we cannot do anything. Bad timing lang talaga,” said Caguioa.

His Gin Kings squad is currently in the middle of a heated semifinals battle against the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, and Caguioa’s appearance in the All-Star game hints at an possible return.
