LA Tenorio playing big in Caguioa’s absence, but hopes Ginebra teammate returns soon

LA Tenorio, Barangay Ginebra’s cerebral guard, had yet another big game to keep the good times rolling for the Kings.

He finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists and provided stability in the backcourt as Ginebra extended its winning streak to five.

“In the absence of Mark (Caguioa), ang kailangang maging mentality naming lahat is to be ready every game,” Tenorio told InterAKTV in an exclusive interview.

Tenorio explained the reason for the Gin Kings’ continued success is the unpredictability they’ve shown the past few games.

“Mas nabibigyan ng opportunity yung iba and lahat involved. This is a test for us. Everyone must step up,” added Tenorio.

But Tenorio realized the importance of having Caguioa, the team’s top gun and the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player and the 5-foot-9 guard hopes he could return the soonest possible time.

“I hope he could return soon kasi nag-a-adjust na ang mga teams sa amin.”

If dumating ang time na mag retire si MC47.. I choose LA na kapalit pra sa spot nya. Kaya ni LA mag 2. May outside shooting, can penetrate. Malaking advantage pa yung PG skills nya for drop pass or kick-out. Tuliro ang babantay sa kanya. Mag plan nlang ang team for solid PG and C. Or better banging PF. Pagkatapos ng confy na to.. Give Taha a chance to play pra mahasa at dapat magpakita na sya sa 3rd confy coz delikado career nya pag nakasungkit ang team ng malaki sa next draft.
