MANILA, Philippines – Here is good news to the PBA followers, particularly the ones who may have been missing much of the games on television.

After a very cheerful and enlightening interview with the PBA commissioner, Atty. Angelico “Chito” Salud, it looks like PBA replays will be making a comeback by the first quarter of 2012.

Considered by many PBA followers as one of the privileges they lost when the PBA changed TV carriers, Atty. Salud bared that he too has been missing the games and has already talked to AKTV about seriously considering bringing back the PBA game replays.

“I have brought this attention to AKTV already, that if it’s possible to bring back the 11 o’ clock replay. Although strictly speaking, our contract does not mandate what time.”

“So it’s parang sinasabi ko na lang sa kanila na please consider the 11 o’clock slot dahil the last few years with Solar, naging parang habit na yan.”

Apparently, Atty. Salud has good use for the PBA replays as well. While they can review game tapes, especially when certain infractions or violations occur, the said PBA replays provide a big help for the PBA commissioner.

“Kahit ako naging habit ko eh” he admitted. “In fact I review two games a day up to the game day. At least paguwi ko (when the PBA replays were still around), na-re-review ko na siya.”

And for the benefit of many, it looks like PBA replays will truly be back come the first quarter of 2012.

“So they said that they will have another channel on cable aside from what they have on AKTV. And this will come somewhere by March, 2012” Atty. Salud revealed.

This was only one of the many enlightening things that Manila Bulletin was able to gather from Atty. Salud. Issues that included PBA trades, the performance of the league and even the lending of PBA players to the Smart Gilas II program were also discussed.
