Si Johnny A bet ko. Or pwede na rin si Caguioa.

Mark Caguioa? Ay, sorry. Hindi daw pwede, eh.

Bakit? Kasi..

1. Hindi siya ang scoring leader.

Dapat ba scoring leader na agad para manalo? Hindi ba pwedeng, at least, putting up big numbers for his team muna?

2. Hindi niya nadala ang Ginebra sa Finals in recent memory.

Wait. Tennis ba ito? Chess ba ito? Basketball is a team sport, sabi ng tito ko. So sa tingin ko, bringing your team to the finals doesn’t equate to the fact that you deserve to win the MVP award.

3. Hindi niya deserve manalo this year according to the criteria, may mas deserving.

Leche, kung hindi nameet ni Caguioa ang mga criteria to win that MVP trophy, eh then by all means, ibigay niyo sa iba.

He deserves to win the MVP award because he’s the rallying point of hundreds of thousands of Ginebra faithful.
