“He told us to just keep fighting, just keep playing hard,” Ginebra coach Siot Tanquingcen intimated when asked what the Big J told the team when he walked over and joined the players and coaching staff on the bench just before the second half.
“I think that rubbed off on the team,” added Tanquingcen.
The Kings took the advice to heart. Down for much of the first half and by 11 points at the end of the third, they clawed their way back and won the match in classic Ginebra fashion, 87-85, on import Cedric Bozeman’s teardrop with a fraction of a second left.
"He just told us na walang bibitaw," said Ginebra star Mark Caguioa, who led the Kings in welcoming Jaworski.
"This is a great night. Grabe ang athmosphere. We dedicate this win to him."
Tanquingcen added: “I think that’s the best send-off retirement gift we could give him.”

ROBERT Jaworski, who for so long espoused and embodied the never-say-die Ginebra spirit, only had one piece of advice to the modern-day Kings during their PBA Governors Cup semifinals match against defending champion Petron on Sunday night.“He told us to just keep fighting, just keep playing hard,” Ginebra coach Siot Tanquingcen intimated when asked what the Big J told the team when he walked over and joined the players and coaching staff on the bench just before the second half.
“I think that rubbed off on the team,” added Tanquingcen.
