Video: FTW: It's close-out versus survival in Game 4 of B-MEG-Ginebra

Behind the stellar play of Mike Cortez and KG Canaleta in the Barangay Ginebra Kings' 88-79 semifinals win over the B-MEG Llamados, BGK was able to stay alive, extending the series to a Game 4, which the FTW crew of Miakka Lim, Mico Halili, Jason Webb and Magoo Marjon previewed.

The Llamados were able to establish an early 2-0 lead in the series before their Game 3 loss, which saw their big man Marc Pingris get ejected early in the second quarter.

"I don't think people realize kung gano kalaki yung role ni Pingris sa B-Meg," said Miakka.

"Nawalan ng defensive heart and soul ang BMEG. Help-defender siya. He plugs the holes. He is the face of the B-Meg defense," added Mico.

In the first game of the Kings-Llamados series, Pingris set the tone defensively, hauling down eight boards and dishing out three dimes. Then in game two, Pingris went the other route, scoring 12, and adding three offensive boards and two swats.

Prior to his ejection, Pingris played six minutes and finished with an empty statline.

With defense turning out to be a key factor in the series, Jason also took notice of Rudy Hatfield's defense on B-MEG's import Denzel Bowles, saying, "For the first time in this series, Rudy Hatfield was able to compete with Denzel Bowles."

Bowles tallied 21 points in both B-MEG victories, but was held to just 11 on 3 of 14 shooting with Hatfield denying him scoring opportunities.
