WORK HARD & THE WINS WILL FOLLOW – CARIASO
There’s no doubt that the triangle is such a complicated offensive pattern to master.
And with Ginebra running the triangle for just one conference, coach Jeffrey Cariaso knows that the Kings still have a long way to go if they want to be as successful as the teams in the past that have adopted the triangle.
“We’ve introduced 75 percent already. You want to master and get better at it as you go on. I’m a firm believer in improving every day,” Cariaso said.
Entering his second conference as head tactician, Cariaso acknowledges that repetition is the best way for the players to get a feel for the game, as evidenced by their numerous tuneup games in the preseason.
“I told them na it’s not about the wins and losses right now because it’s not going to count. What’s going to count is our games in the season,” he said, adding that even if the triangle is in full swing, everything should start with their defense.
“The number one thing for us this preseason is our defense. We play defense and we could always do anything on offense,” he added.
And as the season nears, Cariaso sees a bright future, and he believes that what’s going to help Ginebra end its seven-year drought should be its focus on the little details that count.
“We start with the little things and I think we’re starting to understand the little things,” Cariaso said. “So now, we’re just building and getting better. As long as we continue to work hard, the wins are going to follow.” (RL)

im speechless sa ganda ng opensa at depensa nila, though may nakikita pa rin ako problema. why the team is keeping fragile players? may nakabalik nga galing sa injury pero mahina pa rin performance. marami pwede ipalit fresh and strong players, sana mapalitan para lumakas pa roster ng BGSM. management.... wake up!!!!
