In the first game, the Gin Kings try to solidify their hold of second spot when they battle the Express.

Despite its cellar-dwelling status, Air 21 remains a dangerous opponent, nearly pulling off an upset against Petron last week. The Express have drawn fine performances from ageless center Asi Taulava and rejuvenated guard Mac Cardona.

The Gin Kings will once again rely on the twin towers presence of Japeth Aguilar and Greg Slaughter in the post, with LA Tenorio quarterbacking the squad. Ginebra is also hoping for a return to form for superstar guard Mark Caguioa, who has struggled because of an illness in the Gin Kings’ last two matches.
