The hottest team in the league in Barangay Ginebra San Miguel will be taking on, top of the standings, Alaska in a huge game with a lot more at stake than people might realize. Yes, these are two of the most historic teams in the league, but this is going to be more than just any rivalry game.

BGSM have a chance to pull themselves within half a game of second place. Alaska has a chance to wrap up the very important twice-to-beat status. Ginebra is looking to push their winning streak to seven games. The Aces have their eyes set on getting back to their dominant selves once again before the start of the playoffs.

So many story lines, even more ramifications that will result with either a win or a loss. Ginebra or Alaska? This is going to be a tough one.

WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

Coach, ilugay mo lang.

For the second time this conference, and as head coach of Ginebra, Coach Alfrancis Chua has taken off the ponytail in celebration for the huge victory against Meralco. The first was during their win against the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.

I, for one, am a huge fan of this celebration. The main reason is that Coach Alfrancis just might be the only guy in the league that can do that. Second, it could be a way to remind the rest of the league that he is the furthest thing from cool, calm, and collected when he wins a game.

Go lang, Coach. Go lang.

WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR

DHot Hands.

Will the Cebuano Hotshot still be hot in the next game? After he lit up the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the fourth quarter and overtime, Dondon Hontiveros could still have some residue hot hands still going with him.
