Chris Ellis Experiencing "EFS"
Yes, you've read it right.
"Expectation-Failed Syndrome" (EFS) is the term I used to describe Chris "Airforce" Ellis's recent game performance with the Philippines' most popular ball club, The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings.
Before his professional debut, the he has been dubbed as "Airforce Ellis" a phrase tag to his name due to his high flying skill (ask Nonoy Baclao about this).

Due to his impressive preseason performance, especially his highlight reels, expectations leveled-up and some BGSM Kings fans saw him as "The Future".
But his jersey-ripping act during their 96-93 loss to Rain or Shine E-painters upon fouling-out with 0 points, some rebounds and a block, showed it all.
At that moment, he's feelin' the symptoms of the syndrome.
Frustration.
He has never been a consistent impact on the court. He has never yet to live to the fans perception as "The Future". Actually, if not for his nicely-done dunks he'll never be remembered.
Recently in http:pba......, "Trade Ellis!" were seen on the forums and discussions. Another evidence that fans are now getting frustrated to what he brings to the court (especially that open 3-point attempt that he missed and hit the board, which could have tied their game with ROS).
He was hyped-up by the social media that causes the high expectations of the fans, that as of now is far from realization.
No question about his athleticism.
He's shooting is a blank that should be filled-in.
He's clutch-game poise should be develop.
He's confidence should be lift up.
If the call for trade will be in motion, I wish Chris "Airforce" Ellis will live up to expectations. He is lucky that he's blessed with high-leaping ability, not all basketball players gets blessed with it. He must utilize this while he's young.

^^yun ang nakakatakot dun.. madaming magagaling na gustong maging Ginebra player.. I'm a fan of Ellis but hindi ko pa nakikita yung gusto kong makita sa kanya.. sana ngayo na hanggat d pa naiisipan ni Eala na itapon siya sa ibang team

Nanghihinayang talaga ako sa pick naten kay Jensen, kung naging wise lang siguro tayo nun may ellis & taha tayo tas no need to trade Cortez for Taha diba? may solid backup pg pa si LA.. tsk. mali diskarte

Yun nga eh,, tapos hindi din pala gagamitin si Jensen.. sayang si Jensen may potential eh.. yun lang tlaga ang mali sa Ginebra hindi marunong kung paano iuutilize ang mga players and resources nila..

kung tutuusin mas malakas maglaro si jensen kesa ke Ellis. Me tira pa sa labas.. Naunahan lang kasi ng PT ni Ellis kaya mejo sapaw na sapaw si Jensen.. Parang kagaya nung nangyari between Jimbo and John.. Ayun..

Napansin ko lang bakit lagi tayong ganyan! everytime TALO ang Ginebra and Tsimiss na kumakalat diba wala pang 1 year magkakasama ang mga player let us give them a chance to GEL first berfore we over-react ang comment.....
Unang una dapat sisihin si EALA kac kinuha nyang import sa atin as REJECT kaya firts 3 GAMES LAGPAK kagad kaya bumaba ang moral ng TEAM DIBA MALI BA AKO DUN? Malakas ang TEAM natin wag na natin GULUHIN ANG FOCUS nila JUST PLAY HARD

^ kabs, before pa nya mabasa or baka di pa nya nababbasa ang mga TRADE MOVEMENTS post KUNO ng mga BGSM Fans naramdaman na nya ang frustration.. Actually sakit talaga ni Ellis yun na bablanka ng titira which nauuwe sa foul 
He should capitalize his mistakes and avoid it in the future.. Pangit din kasi ang FG nya simula nung 2nd confy.. Its not the import Hill.. Napansin ko, nagsimula bumama ang morale or confidence nya sa laro nung ginawa syang asintahan ni Paul Lee nung playoffs which is na OLATS yung team.. Ayun..
