B-MEG takes another crack at a finals seat as it takes on Barangay
Ginebra Tuesday in Game Four of their best-of-five semifinal series at
the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Denied the last time out, the Llamados again aim for the clincher in their 6:45 p.m. encounter with the Kings.

B-MEG still holds the lead in the series, 2-1, after surrendering an 88-79 decision in Game Three that denied them a sweep.

Llamados coach Tim Cone said they need to come out more prepared against Ginebra.

“I’d like to say that we beat ourselves last game by playing with
little focus and awareness. But I don’t want to take the credit from
Siot [Tanquingcen] and their coaching staff and the way they prepared,”
said Cone.

“But when our guys come out unfocused like that, it’s on me. It’s my fault. I’ll need to have them better prepared for Game 4.”

Facing elimination, the Kings came out with tremendous energy from
the tipoff until the final buzzer to stay alive in the series.

KG Canaleta was huge for Ginebra with 23 points while Mike Cortez
and Dylan Ababou added 17 and 13 respectively. Cortez also had a
triple-double with 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Jayjay Helterbrand chipped in 12 points for the Kings, who are trying to level the series and force a winner-take-all Game Five.

“We played better with a sense of urgency. One mistake na lang tanggal na kami,” said Tanquingcen.

“The character of the team showed up at sana magpakita ulit kami ng ganoon sa next game.”
